JOB DESCRIPTION

Farm Labour: we grow and sell farm fresh produce, hay, and a small cattle herd. Primary work will be with vegetable farming, including, but not limited to, preparing fields, planting, transplanting, weeding, operating irrigation equipment, picking/harvesting, organizing & stocking produce stands, tending to gardens and plants, cleaning work areas, yardwork and other farm duties. Some equipment operating work, fence repairs and other general farm tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Language: English
Education: A high school diploma is preferred but not required.

• MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE and be able to commute to and from the farm location daily or as needed.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada and have a valid work visa.

• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, some heavy lifting.

• Farm background or knowledge is an asset but not required.

• Experience operating farm machinery, irrigation equipment are an asset but not required.

Schedule Flexibility: Mostly 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday, however, depending on business needs and production, working hours may vary and some weekend work may be required with flexibility for days off in slower times. Must work well with others and be able to follow directions.
