Sustainable & Regenerative Agriculture
For over 120 years, we have been dedicated stewards of the land, continuously evolving our farming practices to ensure a sustainable future. From soil health to responsible grazing, every step we take is rooted in care for our land, animals, and community.
Our Alberta farm focuses on zero-till air seeding, crop rotation, and soil conservation, while our BC farm embraces regenerative agriculture. We integrate livestock, hay, and produce, using rotational grazing to enrich the land and improve pasture health. Excess produce is fed to our livestock, and in the winter months, we bale-process hay on our fields, returning organic matter and natural fertilizer to the soil. We irrigate with water from the Kootenay River, ensuring our animals always have access to fresh water, minerals, and nutrient-rich feed. Through these efforts, we create a balanced system where the land, animals, and wildlife thrive together.
At Lantz Farms, sustainability isn’t just a practice—it’s a way of life. Through thoughtful stewardship, we provide nutrient-rich food for our family, animals, and community, ensuring that our land thrives for generations to come. Read more >
